O most powerful wonderworker, Saint Rita, from your true and only sanctuary of Cascia, where you sleep of peace and where your mortal remains give a foretaste of heaven, Turn an eye of pity on me who suffers and weeps. You see my poor heart surrounded by thorns, and bleeding with pain. Weary and discourage: aged i feel that even prayer dies on my lips. Should i despaire in these terrible moments of my life? Come to my help.O, Saint Rita, listen to my prayer. Have you not been called by all the Christian people << Saint of impossible Cases >>. Advocate of desperate cases.Live up to this title by obtaining for me the grace for which i now beg God to give me through your intercession (mention it). Everyone acclaims your wonders, and the marvels worked by you. Pray to your sweet Jesus for me that he will lighten my burdens, and that through you, o good Rita, i may obtain that which my heart so ardently desires.

3 Our father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

RESPONSORY
(to be repeated after the prayers of each day).

O god of mercy ! filled with the most extraordinary graces, St. Rita loved her enemies, and in her heart and
on her forehead bore the signs of charity and your passion. We humbly implore you, through her merits and
her intercession to make us holy. We beg for the grace to forgive our enemies and to meditate on the pains
of your passion which you have promised to those who are humble of heart.

At the name of Rita
Fevers, wounds and plagues
Are put to flight.
As also sickness, pain, evil spirits
And hail and storms.

The blind, the deaf, the dumb
And the cripple are helped by you.
Even the children are saved.
And the dead live once again.

All are saved from fire, earthquakes,
And bombardments.
Never more will they take place.

Saint of impossible cases,
Spain venerates you,
Other countries sing your praises,
Cascia proclaims your name.

To the all holy Father, and his Son
Be all praise, honour and glory
Throughout the ages eternal praise
to the everlasting Love, Amen.

You have marked your servant, Saint Rita, O Lord,
With the mark of love and of your passion.
